OUR STORY
A message from our CEO,
Ninety-Four Forty comes from the address of my childhood home. This home was the foundation of who I am today. This foundation was a result of my grandparents who instilled the best morals, skills, and values within myself, my siblings, and my cousins. As I grew up and moved away I realized the significance of the number for me. It was a reminder to stay grounded. To build all that I do with a solid foundation.
9440 is a nod to my Lolo, Lola, and family.
Sports have always been an essential part of my life and identity. In a home of basketball players, I chose the tech side. I took the photos, did the marketing, and pitched myself to teams at the age of 14. Shortly after, my career in sports took off. Although I have moved away from sports time and time again, it always found its way back to me.
After the hardest season of my life, I realized I needed to return to my roots. I turned my pain into opportunity by aligning myself with the values and foundation I built as a child while living at 9440.
Ninety-Four Forty was born.
Our goal is to uplift and bring people together through our online platform, digital magazine, events, and outreach to communities directly impacted by sports and the world around it.
